How do you remove cured clear silicone caulking from a fiberglass bathtub without damaging the tub?

I have a red wine-colored fiberglass bathtub that I had to remove, then re-install. The problem is that the tub has a thick bead of clear silicone caulking that I need to remove from the tub before I can re-install it. Is there an easy way to do this without damaging the fiberglass? How do you remove cured clear silicone caulking from a fiberglass bathtub without damaging the tub?
Use a plastic implement -- like a blunt knife or a spatula -- and lift one end of the caulking. Unless it is really old, it should peel off relatively easily. You should be able to rub off any bit and pieces that are left with a rough (but not abrasive) cloth. Once you get it started, it should just pull off. Paint thinnner will break it down. When you recaulk with silicone, fill a cup with dishliquid and water, dipping your finger in it to spread and keep from sticking all over you.
you can try goo gone its a citrus based cleaner please follow the instructions on the bottle
Razor blade laid almost flat to the tub and denatured alcohol.
Buy a cheap plastic putty knife. This will remove most of it without scratching. Use rubbing alcohol to remove the rest.
use vinegar it is a solvent for silicone
