It would depend on the mastic, some is external. The mastic is not a bad solution to the problem, but the tile would have needed priming ( a good surface to adhere to).
ideally you should change the tile but if this is not an option you could try fibre glass. (glass fibre painted with resin - again the tiles need to be primed )Am I right in thinking that clear silicone mastic is for interior use only?
It is a temporary leak fixer. Until the tile is replaced. Silicone does not know whether you live in a hot house or a refrigerator.
